I will file documents to have money refunded to my elderly in-laws. They gave Grandview a $15,000 deposit for work to be done at their house in Ellicott City, MD. Neighborhood did not want construction, so we moved them in with us. Legal contract allowed for Grandview to keep small amount as fee for possible paper work and time spent. WE have been trying to get the money returned but he says he is broke. We then agreed to allow him to keep half the deposit but to return balance ASAP. Owner was very happy at us working with him. However, he has missed every payment deadline and only has sent back $750.00 to date. Very disturbing how he seems to be taking advantage of an elderly couple. Be aware and do not give money unless he puts in escrow- We will see how this plays out in the legal system. Very SAD!
